Low-Carb Cinnamon Cocoa Cookies

This recipe for cinnamon cocoa cookies is very quick and easy, using almond flour and Swerve instead of traditional baking ingredients. As always, the these are low-carb, sugar-free and gluten-free biscuits.

Low-Carb Cinnamon Cocoa Cookies –  Recipe

The way of preparations – easy

Prep time

  • Prep time – 10 minutes
  • Cooking time – 10 minutes

Yields – 20 cookies


  • 1.5 cups (120g) almond flour
  • 100g butter (0.4 stick)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 50 g raw unsweetened cocoa or cocoa powder 
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp Swerve
  • 1 tsp xantham gum
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions on how to make Low-Carb and Gluten-Free Cinnamon Cocoa Cookies

  • Preheat the oven to 375F (190C)
  • Mix all dry ingredients together (if using cocoa powder, mix it in with the dry ingredients)
  • Melt butter (if using raw cocoa, melt it together with the butter) and cool
  • Lightly beat the egg and mix it in with melted butter and vanilla extract
  • Combine all ingredients together and mix well
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper
  • Form eight round large biscuits with your hands
  • Bake for 10 minutes – you want them to have turned hard on the outside, but still moist inside
  • Take out and cool on a wire rack
  • Cookies will become a bit firmer once a little cooler
